I read this yesterday!! I was talking to God about hearing His voice (and also His favorite color, because I’m weird) and then I read this verse.
The word that was used was ‘devouring.’ That kind of fire is raging, and humans cannot even get close to it without being burned up.
So, God is a raging fire. But Psalm 119:57 says, “Lord, You are mine!” God allows us to have Him, although He is huge…
He can’t be contained, but He allows Himself to be held by me! ^_^
